We even had one with quads (Finn) who raised them all with no supplements. For the record, I've offered bottles and they've not taken them. I also start them on creep feed early and pour the feed to the ewes.

I took a tip from a Finnsheep breeder. If you bottle feed them, leave them with mom and the flock, and just offer them bottles twice a day as long as they're doing well.Frannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04251158925458606105noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31827832.post-12120936970125338862009-04-01T23:24:00.000-07:002009-04-01T23:24:00.000-07:00Exciting lambs, Franna! You didn't say, so I'll presume those ewes will have no trouble with triplets?
I have finns for the first time this year, and I'm afraid I'll end up with bottle lambs.
Gail at Little Red Oak Farm in MNGail Vhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09644852656633107525noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31827832.post-18709133481146413212009-03-31T14:07:00.000-07:002009-03-31T14:07:00.000-07:00Este Blog investe e acredita na... I wasn't going to post about it, since it's given to blogs that "invest and believe in the PROXIMITY- nearness in space, time and relationships. These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement! Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers!” See that little line, "not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement"? How do you accept an award without appearing interested in self-aggrandizement? But when it came my way a second time, it seemed rude to ignore the kind gestures of these two ladies, and not pass the award on to eight others. When I looked through the list of blogs I follow, I realized I've had the fun of meeting nine of them (not counting my sister, neighbor, and the proprietors of two local yarn shops). So although this award is not necessarily for those with whom one has shared a physical proximity, these bloggers fit the other descriptions, too. Tina, Allena, Karla, Franna, Tammy, Donna, Lois, Shannon, and Tammy - consider yourselves awarded!"

So in considering this, I chose 6 bloggers that have relative proximity in relationships and in physical location who have charming blogs. (There are two repeats from the above.) We have Bill and Jack, both 75% Gotland Rams born last year. 75% rams are not registerable with the Gotland Sheep Breeders Association, but 75% ewes are... And just for the record, the second ewe was not upside down, just backwards. When I saw rear end showing instead of head, I just helped ease her out and cleared her nose and mouth enough that she could breathe. Charcoal took over from there. At least Franna has the fancy delivery stuff in the barn now :)Davehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10246604614508334472noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31827832.post-19165605892439309292009-03-29T14:37:00.000-07:002009-03-29T14:37:00.000-07:00Wow, you're quick! The breeze is brisk, but the lambies seem to be okay out in the pasture. Enough sun to warm little backs. More photos of "your" boy on the blog today!
